Re-use Content from Other Categories

tqTag Site Manager supports re-use of content items from one Category to another.

Before You Begin

In the source location, if needed, create the content item, as described in Create Content Items.

To re-use content-items from other Categories

  1. Make sure that you are logged in to siteAddress/tqtag, as described in Log in to tqTag Site Manager.
  2. If the Languages and Categories navigation panel is not displayed, click Content module group icon.
  3. In the navigation panel, click the Category to which you are assigning content items.
  4. On the Content Items page, click Category Settings.
  5. On the parallel topics menu, click Assign Items to Template.
  6. On the transparent menu, under Content, click the appropriate command button.
  7. Based on which of the following dialog boxes opens, determine if you are assigning a simple content item or dynamic content items:

  8. If you are assigning a simple content item, in the dialog box do the following:
    1. To the right of the row that displays the current Category, click Down arrow.
    2. In the list that pops up, select the source Category.
      The dialog box now displays the content items in the source Category.
    3. To the left of the content item that you want to assign, click Select Content Item button.
    4. Click Close button to close the dialog box.
  9. If you are assigning dynamic content items, in the dialog box do the following:
    1. Select the Categories under which you are specifying content items (if needed, use the Shift and Ctrl keys for multiple selection).
    2. (optional) Specify Starting From Item # and Number of Items to Display.
    3. (optional) Specify sorting and filtering settings.
    4. Click Save.
    5. Click Close button to close the dialog box.
  10. To assign additional content items, return to step 6 above.
