Manage Searches and Suggestions

A tqAdmin with suitable permissions can use this procedure to do the following:
  • Analyze site search activity
  • Create search suggestions.  For example, if you define Checkout as a suggestion, it will appear after a site visitor types the first letters of Checkout.

To manage searches and suggestions

  1. To access the Content module group, at the top of the navigation panel, click Content Module icon.
  2. On the Module toolbar, click Search Analysis Search Analysis icon.
  3. On the Searches and Suggestions page, to analyze Website searches, do the following:
    1. To display a search subset, in the Filter By box, type the relevant characters.
      For example, to display searches for Web, Website, Web application and so forth, type web.
    2. Examine the searches highlighted in yellow.
      NOTE: The longer the yellow highlight, the higher the percentage of total searches for that search phrase.
  4. To create a search suggestion, do the following:
    1. At the bottom of the Searches and Suggestions page, in the Create Search Suggestion box, type your search suggestion.
    2. Click Save.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • Create additional search suggestions.
      • To refresh the Searches and Suggestions page, press F5.
  5. To delete a search or suggestion, click Delete button.
