Using Site Variables in Content

When creating topic items, a tqAdmin (with suitable permissions) can use Site Variables in the following:
  • Category Name
  • Item Title
  • Item Content

When you use a Site Variable, precede it with @ :: (with no spaces) and follow it with @

This use case is taken from the tqTag Web Suite Overview topic of the current Help system.

Before You Begin

Make sure that have a list of Site Variables that the tqExpert created for your site, and that the values are correct.  The following table displays the variables for the use case:

Variable Description Current Value
fapl Franchiser application (long) tqTag Dashboard

fusys Franchiser-user system tqTag Web Suite

To use Site Variables in Content

  1. If needed, use Site Variables in the Category name (see Create Website Categories).

  2. If needed, use Site Variables in the item title (see Create Content Items).

  3. If needed use Site Variables in the item content.

    The Website text displays the current values of the Site Parameters:
