tqTag Web Suite Overview
What is the tqTag Web Suite?
The tqTag Web Suite is an innovative set of tools for developing and maintaining sophisticated Websites. The tqTag Web Suite is composed of the following applications:
- tqTag Dashboard — for developing Websites and Web applications. The only role in tqTag Dashboard is tqExpert, for which the prerequisites are knowledge and experience with HTML.
- tqTag Site Manager — for managing Websites and updating Website content. The primary role in tqTag Site Manager is tqAdmin, for which the prerequisites are basic computer and Web skills.
What are the advantages of creating a Website using tqTag Dashboard?
The framework for any tqTag Web Suite Website is based on outer and inner templates, developed by a tqExpert and managed in tqTag Site Manager. Outer templates make it easy to get a common look & feel among all of the Website pages. Inner templates provide maximum flexibility for each type of Web page.
The power of tqTag Web Suite comes from tqTags, which the tqExpert incorporates in the templates. tqTags enable non-programmers to include server-side programming functionality in the Websites that they build. For example:
- Customer management
- Content management
- Secure e-commerce, with inventory control
- Social networking, including forums, talkbacks, and chat
What are the advantages to the client of managing a Website under tqTag Site Manager?
For the client, the big advantage of tqTag Site Manager is independence. Once a Website is up-and-running, the client tqAdmins (for which the prerequisites are just basic computer and Web skills) manages the following, with no need for tqExpert involvement:
- Textual and graphic content of existing Web pages, with optional approval workflow for changes
- Banners and other advertising elements
- New Web pages, based on inner templates available for the site
- Customer management
- Forums and other interactive elements
- eCommerce catalog, inventory, and sales
- Day-to-day operation of the modules enabled for the Website
